I made a cassette tape, about my mom!
She passed away when I was 3. Now aged 33, I’m the same age as she was when she died and have been working on the project during this period. Using a mixture of field recordings, haptic sounds, synthesizers and lo-fi ghost technology: it’s an insular sonic landscape that journeys through the phases of grief and transmutation during the course of 33 minutes. To honor the creative cycle of this process, the culmination tape release was held on my mother’s birthday.
